I have tried to revalidate 4 sites today, and all of them end up validating but with 0 weight, and it doesn;t change no matter how many times I revalidate. Is anyone else having similar problems today?
Not sure if it's related but the keyword tracker tool shows all my keywords being out of the top 200 but a quick check in google itself showed all is well. Maybe a Google API issue affecting both tools? I believe co-op uses the API to determine weight......
It is not just DP tools - my site lost it's PR and backlinks today, along with a bunch of other people. Something wierd is going on at Google. See http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=64447
Yeah, I got 0 as well. But I have been reading that weight fluctuates alot, so maybe this is normal. This whole coop advertising is just too weird, too difficult to understand the logic behind it.
Since google api will only give you 1000 queries, maybe we have over 1000 hits since the weight drops back down. Could that be it?
No this is not normal. It seems like a problem if you ask me. I mean when you have sites that usually validate for 20k and then you notice now you have more pages in Google and want to see if your weight went up any and click on validate only to notice you get 0 is pretty frustrating. So from 20k to 0 is a pretty bad hit. Just hope it will fix itself or maybe DP can look into it.
Same thing here. Keep getting this message: Ads not found on http://www.drhfinegifts.com/showroom.php?pdb=nwc&SelectedProd=563 That URL hasn't been active on my site for over a year! I think Google is the issue if co-op is using the API key.
Okay, the redirect took care of that problem, but I still don't understand why it was pulling up that URL. BTW, what is the drop down menu for to the left of your ad that has numbers between 1-15??
If the co-op gets it, then Google has it indexed!!! It lets you give more weight to a certian ad if you have more than one ad.
I think this is related to the followings: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=63889 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=64243 The issue is discussed in other forums and blogs as well: http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/33433.htm http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/33386.htm http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/33351.htm http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/seochat-booted-from-google-72338.html http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/ses-nyc-2006-day-3/#comments All these discuss SERP in regular Google index, but I was afraid that this was happening in API as well. My wild guess is that these two are related, but I'd greatly appreciate if anyone can comment on this, whether Google index issue and API issue are related or not.
It is just not normal for a site to validate and show an absolute 0 as weight, specially when they are sites that had a weight of several K's
