Hello all, I'm about to embark on a new website. I've previously used FrontPage (yuk!) and Dreamweaver, but am a bit out of date with what's available now. I'd like to go open-source (free!)... all I need is something to do regular html, nothing too fancy, but ideally with templates as a starting point, wysiwyg and ability to hand-tweek html too. I'm just planning a static site; don't need SQL/php etc. So... any recomendations? Are there any CMS type applications that I can use purely through browser without anything locally installed? I use Windows, Mac and Linux all on different machines, so something universal would be ideal (a tall order, I know). Are modern CMS packages search-engine-freindly? As I say, I'm a bit out of date on this, so feel free to state the obvious! Thanks, Paul
Start from scratch using HTML and CSS, it's the best way to go, templates and WYSIWYG editors tend to create massive validation errors. If you need help with this contact me,
