it really depends on what script or board ur using, bbs is good , also check ur robots .txt and make sure ur not blocking it.

There are a few html boards available which are quite good (obviously) for indexing. try buying the script which allows you more functionality and branding and submit individual pages?

How about the one I 've using now, SimpleMachines org, I read the features again, they have search engine friendly enabled if you have Apache server.
But when I do the search, my forum never got indexed.
    Thanks.

I just changed from SMF to Vbulletin, Even with SMF I had no trouble with getting my pages indexed from Google and MSN. Yahoo just seems very slow.

How old is your site, number of backlinks etc? That is a huge factor in how deep and how much any Search engine will index for you.

A couple other's factor's worth noting, is just because you don't see your pages on a site:domain.com query doesn't mean they are not counted. Also have you checked on Multiple DC's for your pages, it may be that the DC's have not converged the info for your site.

It can take a while for a SE to index all the pages of your site, search engine's dont usually have to much of a problem scanning and indexing forums, its just you may have to be patient before it shows it publicly

My site is PR3, 3 yrs old. I just created a link exchange page about 2 weeks ago. I like vBulletin but it costs alots of money so....
On my link exchange page, I have about 50 reciprocal links.
    Thanks.

Well 3 years is def old enough. I would recommend vBulletin if you are serious about a site and it shows potential, as I'm sure other's will tell you won't be disappointed. IMO the 50 recip links would be gone, I can see trading a couple with on topic site's but 50 that may be unrelated sites prob won't do much good.

I will have to wait until later and I can look at your url.

    A couple ?'s
Do you have a robots.txt file?
Have you signed up with google's sitemap program yet?

You should also get your site link in your signature here at DP.

I would like to take a look at your site and see if I can help you out.

Well the first thing for single123 that I see that may be a problem is

    Frontpage PR3 www.domain.com
    Forum Home PR3 www.domain.com/freead
Enter Forum PR0 domain.com/freead/etc NO www.

This sounds like a configuration issue that I would resolve. I would also suggest that you upgrade to SMF RC2 as well if you choose to continue with SMF.

It's hard to tell since your site is not in english, but I did not see what appeared to be a valid robots.txt file for you.
