Looks like we are having a Google outage - apparently someone has hijacked their Domain, and something called SoGoSearch is showing up instead. GMail was down as well. Google ads are not being served up as well. Am I the only one, or did you guys feel the webquake as well? Man if this is a hack, then we now know nothing - not even god, I mean Google is safe! Is this someone’s idea of teaching them a lesson? Or has the Web Accelerator shown its true colors? Lots of unanswered questions. Here is a screen grab by the way!
It's working now... Here is a page about it - http://www.engadget.com/2005/05/07/google-down-google-hacked-not-hacked/

Well I found Something on net Microsoft, Viacom unite to slow down Google What’s the best way to defeat your strong enemy? Collaborate with your enemy’s enemy. This is what Microsoft is doing against dominant rival Google. WSJ reports the Microsoft-Viacom deal is mostly about slowing down Google and getting a bigger share in the online advertising market. This alliance will give Bill Gate’s once indestructible company exclusive rights to place online ads to more than 300 sites owned by Viacom including Comedy Central, MTV, Paramount Pictures and many more. You might remember that Viacom has a pending billion-dollar copyright infringement lawsuit against Google’s video-sharing site, YouTube. Microsoft, on the other hand, still can’t figure out how to beat Google in terms of advertising. So far, it is has been bitching about Google’s acquisition of DoubleClick simply because it’s competing against its own advertising system, Atlas. Will this plot to dethrone Google pay off? Combining powerful forces can do wonders. Then again, the NBA team LA Lakers once combined powerful hoop stars Shaq, Kobe, Malone, and Payton but failed miserably to grab the title.
