Skype call embedded in Adsense units

Just saw skype call option in one of the adsense blocks.
I really wonder how much will I make if someone makes a call thru it.

They use to also have this thing where google would pay for the long distance charges of a company to call you. Wonder what happened to that.

I think that it is not adsense. Skype just parsed the ad and inserted the call button. You have skype installed right? It does that to any phone on any website.

yes I have skype and use a lot for making international calls.
actually I thought of that too, so you say when advertiser puts phone number in the ad google converts it to call option depending on phone software you use?
makes sense, sophisticated ads

Definitely sophisticated stuff.

I used to like their old 'call for free' button. You'd just type in your number and you can talk with the advertiser for free.

Nope. Google does not convert it. The skype software on your computer automatically detects the phone number and converts it into a clickable link. Any phone number on any website is converted by skype into a link.
