What should I do? I received Ads that are not relevant to my webpage's content, anyone has/had the same experience??
adsense server may have a problem of understanding the content of your pages. make sure the page has a clear theme or topic.
It also depends on how many ads are available for a given topic, If they only have one ad for widgetlets, they'll give it to you along with one on artificial widgets and meta-widget creation or other things that aren't quite as relevant. Really depends what subject area you are dealing with.
I've had it happen to me when using frames. Google has a line of code to add to your adsense code if it's appearing on a framed page.
Some days I will go to a page on my site and where the google adsesnse ads should be they are just blank spots. Then I hit refresh a couple times and they show up. Whats with that? M4ck
Sounds like there isn't enough ad inventory on the subject(s) your page is covering. You might consider setting up the alternate ad for your pages when Google would otherwise show a public service ad.
Yeh when the sites were newer I got a lot of public service ads. usually about Colon Cancer or something. It was really odd cause at the time my wife had just had her Colon removed because of Cancer. Was wierd everytime she would get on my site she would find a site for Cancer Support sites. M4ck
Some people are just dumb and don't know what keywords to target. My buddy icon site was getting all kind of stupid ads from some russian sculpture site, seems they were targeting the word "icon". Geez...
Tipster - have you checked your site for other words that might be causing the ads. I know on one of my blogs i had inadvertently written one word in 6 spots on the page without realizing it even though the page was on another topic and that word was the trigger for my irrelevant ads...
Which proves my point... then you should target words like "russian sculptures", or even "russian icons", but using "icons" is just stupid, their impression count must be really high with very low CTR using a word with so many unrelated meanings.
My politics site is getting a lot of ads about preventing spam... but... the net result has been an increase in revenue. Spooky.
