Your theory on why PR is taking so long to spread throughout the servers.

Well, t's been well over a week which is MORE than unusual for the PR to have fully spread throughout Google's datacenters. Why do YOU think this is happening?

My thoughts are that Google is only updating the PR within the datacenters that have the 'Big Daddy' update applied to them. Sorry if it doesn't make any sense, but I know no other way of putting it. I mean it's been stuck on 14 / 21 datacenters now for over a week, so what is really going on?

*Sorry if this is somewhat of a repost, didn't see any topic with it and didn't want to bother reading through ALL of the PR threads again.*

Google are controling the flow of propogation as part of BD, so it is fairly obvious it can't propogate between updated and original systems? At least i would have thought so. But what do I know I am bald

The various jagger updates never really made it all the way either. PR and backlinks were fluctuating all the time.

It is obvious that Google saw something they did not like, and decided they needed the infrastructure change.

This probably houses most of my theories:

Do people still care that much about PR? I mean if you are not selling links or entire website, then it doesnt makes a huge difference to the revenue. I think having better SERPs is good.

I got to #9 for 'Web Site Promotion' and #11 for 'WebSite Promotion' which i think are great keywords. Although my PR is still 5, as it has been for past 2 years (got to 6 once for a couple of months), but i really dont care about PR that much now.

My question is why would the issue a full Page rank update if Big Daddy is not even done?

I believe that once Big Daddy is complete we will see the page rank update fully

I saw new pages indexed, new backlinks showing and PR going from 0 to 5 on my new site but my older site hasn't updated PR and my indexed pages went from about 11,900 to 781 in 12 days. I don't know what the heck is going on but it really sucks.

I don't know if it has anything to do with it but my referrals from G are fluctuating wildly from day to day.

I don't know why Google hasn't update yet, and I'm starting to focus on other things which I have control over. The only thing I know is, I have a page rank 7 page linking to my pr 5 site, along with a PR 6, and that site should have got some PR, but it didn't.
