    Her father was hanged and now she had succumbed to the extremists.

    A blow to democracy in Pakistan.

    Whatever faults she might have had she had represented the saner
    elements in Pakistani society.

    Well Musharaf has to rein in the extremist elements if he wants to
    save Pakistan from fanatics.

    That will complicate the already problematic situation in Pakistan. She has her own group of die hard supporters. Hopefully there won't be violence against rival groups.

    I hope that the situation won't revert back to military rule again. It will be quite a few steps backwards after struggling so hard for a democratic elections.
