    I have a blog with alot of pages. Rather than getting links to each individual page, I plan to get alot of links to the homepage. Will this effect the serps of all my other blog post rankings?

    prjuice will pass on from your homepage but only if you get a decent starting rank for example - my homepage for a new site has a pr 3 and 90 pages in total each page appart from the indexpage has a pr 2 and the forum has a pr2 also, links in my forum have a pr 1 like calender page and game section have pr1. but now i have my homepage established i am working on the pages that already have pr and getting links for them to pass pr juice back to my index page. also this stops from looking spammy and havinr 10000 links to www.example.com now the links are spreading out to look like this

    www.example.com = 6000 links
    www.example.com/newpage1 = 1000 links
    www.example.com/newpage2 = 1000 links
    www.example.com/newpage3 = 1000 links
    www.example.com/newpage4 = 1000 links

    this is far less spammy and all pages are passing juice to each other.

    1 thing i will say is that i recently added no follow tags to irrelevent pages such as guestbook and contact, this will mean more juice goes to pages that need it, ones with onpage seo and adsense ads

    A link is a link no matter where it comes from (external and internal). A link to your homepage will increase it's PR a littlebit so the link from homepage to your internal page will be a little more stronger.

    The homepage passes some weight to the other pages (if you have link in homepage to a section of the site that section of the site will get some weight)
