How will you know your site is approved in dmoz ?

I have submitted almost 6 sites by last 4 months. Still none of my site are displayed in dmoz.org. :(

I have read, re-read and carefully submited to most appropriate category. But still my sites are no approved by the editors.

How can I ensure the sites get approved?

    TIA :)

To my knowledge, there is no way to accelerate inclusion in DMOZ. To just monitor your inclusion you might try http://www.seotie.com/ or ask the editors via DMOZ forum about the status of you application.

the only way to know is to check the directory - DMOZ doesnt email anyone - for anything --

And there is no way to speed it up - submit once and pray - thats all you can do

Does re-submitting to DMOZ effect your original request? I have read that re-submitting places your original request at the bottom of the list. Is that corrrect?

I have found my backlinks generally jump significantly once I am included in DMOZ.

Thanks for the infor guys & gals!

Yep, thats because there are plenty of directories using dmoz content. Hence when dmoz updates those other directories updates too. Creating pool of back links.

But first I have to get accepted there. <_<

    Thanks.

I submitted my main site to DMOZ last December. It just showed up in a listing last week.

You can submit requests for a submission status update to the DMOZ editors at:

    http://www.resource-zone.com/.

I did request updates several times. The editors are pretty responsive. I generally got a response in about a day.

I just registered at resource-zone but I think the board's email function is broken because I never got an email for validation - so now I got a user name but can't post. Anyone having the same problem?
