I also looked at easy-forex which is forex-affiliate.com. Did not like that they dont support firefox browser. And their spreads are too high so I would not fell comfortable selling them. I have a hard enought time trading with 3 pip spreads.:D

Contacted Marketiva and found out they dont take customers (traders) from US and Canada. Thats the bulk of my traffic on my financial sites.

Then tried to apply for their affiliate program anyways just to give them a try. Nice site, nice trading platform, competitive spreads, surely I could make some sales to my european traffic. But they never got back to me.

Dude ... seriously you should get your eyes checked. I am a member at forex-affiliate.com for a few months now and if there is anything they have a lot of, is banners and reviews (articles). Are you kidding me? There must be at least 200 banners in there in any format you can think of.

In any case i think the coolest tool they give out is the live currency rates table which is a great way to add content on your site and also convert customers.

I think with forex-affiliate.com you should look at the overall package. Sure their default spreads are probably a bit higher than other platforms but thats because you can trade with a much lower margin than any other platform as well. You can open an account with just $25!!! Who else lets you do that? If that wont convert you any customers i dont know what will. Further more as soon as any customer registers they contact him, offer him free forex training and adjust his account to his trading style and change his spread etc.

As an affiliate for me this is a great product. It doesnt require any download, its completely web based, they accept credit cards and pay pal for trading (i dont know any other platform that does) and customers can start trading in 5-10 minutes.

It worked for me so far ... i got 5 active customers out of 20 registrations and thats a good conversion ratio. I am trying to build up more mainstream traffic now in order to send over to these guys.

Thanks for the info koullis26 I may give them a shot afterall.

P.S. Marketiva will let you trade with as little as $1. Not that you can acheive anything with that little capital. Plus they give you $5 for free to trade after download the software. But like I said they dont take customers from US and Canada

Personallly, I trade with the big boys. Have an account at Saxo Bank (nice platform). Have a dormant forex options account with a broker in Cypres (stopped using them cause they kept dicking around on the spreads and contract sizes for Silver and Gold. After some wildly successful trades they changed the rules, seems they just wanted to take all my profits:mad: ) And am opening an account soon at Oanda. Been using their demo platform for a few months. I like their short term charting, down to 5 seconds. Plus their spreads are low, low, low. 1.5 pips on EUR/USD

Are you sure this is the Actual spread? Sometimes eventhough the spread is low, your trades are added with markups, heavy rollover and commisions that drain all profit you gain from the low spread.
I know of a new company offering an affiliate program, they accept US&Canada and offer decent spreads, no markups, mostllly no rollover (sometimes you do pay if you keep positions for long periods and the interest is against you), and no fees and commisions :)

    Hi Michael and Lonny :)

I'm curious about what affiliates think of Forex affiliate programs in general...
Do you think they are good and exciting due to the high payouts or do you classify them in the gambling or payday loans type category???

Just wondering your general impression because a Forex company wants me to do advertising for them and there are many types of affiliate programs and markets I won't risk my 5 Star reputation on. I'm just not sure where the Forex market fits in most affiliate's opinion. What do you think?

    5Star,

In my opinion it depends on who you are promoting. Some forex brokers are borderline scammers, while others are very respectabale major players in the global banking and financing and trading world. Same with some of the forex training programs.

Agree, unfortunately there are many scammers out there, such most industries who are ruining the name for hard working brokerages.

It's all about research and asking the right questions
