First 2 Pages Are Spam in MSN :(

We are all happy because MSN indexes and ranks our site very fast. But MSN love Spammers. Just have a look at this VERY competitive search term.

    http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=diet+pills&FORM=MSNH&srch_type=0

First two page results are SPAM... last month only first page was SPAM... now the spam result is growing. Infact I've complained them several times because most of these spam sites are hijacked content from my sites. I think Bill Gates is only interested in getting clicks on Sponsored link.

These spam sites are doorway pages, redirecting visitors to another site… that means doorway pages still work!

    What you think folks?

    Thanks :)

yes, subdomain doorway spam all directed to one site. If you remember when Google first started their adsense program, the first few pages were spam; I do think it is there to encourage clicks on the sponsored sites. I still think Google still has some crazy results on the first few pages of the SERPS, so to encourage webmasters to advertise, and users to click on the ads to find what they want. Overall though, I'm getting most of my traffic from MSN, and I'm very happy with their ranking system. (I'm not using any spamming techniques, though. Just good on page seo and lots of qualiity backlinks)

MSN is still working on filtering out crap like that. So you can either wait or you can out spam your competition. ;)

Well they are a new player, so I guess they are "finding their feet" so to say. They will improve, they cant help but not improve.

Plus they are growing in popularity pretty quickly from what my stats are telling me. with no significant change in serps either.

yes doorway pages still work, only google managed to detect most of them by taking advatage of the toolbar

however I dont see why those 2 spam sites do redirect instead of integrated content in their page which got on top

    Well Matte,

Yes its pretty much true, I guess he is just stating how easy it is to rank in MSN. Build yourself some good backlinks, even just submitting articles can have you ranking well in msn.

But follow good on-site optimization will take you a long way with msn. Then build backlinks. And top positions will come easily.

Huge search terms still take some work though. Like the term "office furniture". I am still working on that one. I think it is going to take 100,000 links.

Also dont know weather this has anything to do with it, but perhaps the launch of www.live.com has had something to do with the changes that have been going on recently?

Completely made up by me but it may have something to do with it. Also makes me wonder if they just use a modified version of the msn algo. I know that most of my sites rank pretty much the same in both live.com and msn.com

The sick thing is that large "established" businesses are taking advantage of them.... search for "Loans" and TrueLocal, decides it wants to take advantage via arbitration....

    MSN now has....

    Start.com
    Live.com

Why don't they just concentrate on MSN?
