My site is no longer in google. I went from getting 500 referrals from google a day to not being there anymore. I started the site about a month ago. Was I sandboxed? My site is tvWiki.tv and a link's in my sig.

I have absolutely no idea why my site ranked so well in google. Luck? Is there anyway to notify google of the problem?

Getting this many mentions of your site in such a short time is going to raise concerns with google.

If you have a good explanation for it and your site is not using any dubious tactics then request that they reinclude your page.

Did you use any submission tool like IBP? Your site is not sandboxed, it is banned on google:( .

No. I submitted my site by hand to the IMDB and I also added a link on 3 different wikis (one of the links was on the meta wikipedia page "sites that use mediawiki). I don't see how there is anything wrong with what I did. Then somehow google decided to make me the first result in for a bunch of high traffic keywords. No duh people are gonna start linking to it en masse. Its not my fault.

    Good luck.

Thanks. I think its really unacceptable for Google to do do this to me. I've been working myself to the bone in the past few weeks on this site.

Do humans actually ban a site or is it an algorithm?

Hmmmm! Maybe Google is preparing to sandboxed you putting your site on a good position, then your site got 276,000 mention !!!

That makes no sense isnt it??

    Wish you all the luck!

If the site was sandboxed it would show up in a search for the domain name in google but not in a search for a target keyword.

This site is banned/removed from google. Its not sandboxed.

What I mean is maybe it was being prepaired to be sandboxed before. But when your site in mentioned 270,000+ times it was banned. Anyway its just my theory

    ;)

I do not believe there is. If Google accepted calls from every webmaster asking why ... they would never get anything done.

Maybe google shouldn't randomly decide to ban a site just because a bunch of people on LJ decide to link to it without the webmaster even knowing about it.

I believe the mention is about similar sites, not his (at least 99% of them). I don't know, but I always see a corrolation between having a big sig link and the possibility of doing something else seo wise that could get you banned. And banned from Google the site is.

I remembered that I added a robots.txt. Would this robots.txt cause google to ban me?:

    Disallow:
