$3 dollar success plan {+}

    I am in the process of making an internet marketing book, mostly based on getting traffic and web development, on top of the best devices that make money. I didn't want to charge an abnormal amount for it, so I was thinking $3, would people be interested? I hope to have it out within a week.

    A lot of books I read are way to long, unorganized, and overpriced, I'm looking to change that.

    If it's a good book people would buy it at a higher price.

    I agree. Don't undersell yourself. Perception has a lot to do with it, sometimes charging higher can up the expectation and if that expectation is filled the customer will be happy.

    the SEO Book by Aaron wall is a classic example. $70 is quite a lot for an ebook but I got it and it's a good ebook.

    In my opinion not worth $70 but then again he does constantly update it so...

    Just do some price checking, research on other ebooks, find the highest end, the lowest end. Then think if you're ebook is really quality and does provide something others don't, then find a middle ground.

    That's my opinion anyway, $3 just seems a bit of a desperate sell almost saying... LOOK THIS IS ONLY 3 DOLLARS, PLEASE BUY IT!

    Depends on the quality.

    Do you really say anything new in this ebook? do you think people will get genuine value from it?

    If you do, charge what you would pay for it

    You could of course make a landing page for it, test it out at say... $15. But don't actually sell it, but let people go through the process as if they are buying it then say it's out of stock or whatever.
    Then the rate at which people go to buy it should be the rate at which it will sell within your niche.

    May be better to test with a lower price first though say $5, if the buy-in rate is very good try bumping it up to $15, see what affect it has. Again I think a price rise can help in some cases. Perception.

    If it's really great, maybe give away 1 free page for people to get an idea of the quality. Then sell the whole thing for like $20.

    $7 is pretty much the standard for an ebook unless its something extra special.

    anything less than $7 and people probably wont buy it.

    Hello AlmondJ

    How much is a $3 ebook about traffic worth?

    How much traffic will $3 buy you?

    Traffic still remains the #1 problem faced by most online businesses today, so you might be shortchanging yourself ....

    Do a google search on "web site traffic "...take a look at the pricing you find, but also look at the quality of the ebook offer.......and look at the credibility and proof the author brings to the subject.......

    Here is a quick tip: It is better to get 2 visitors from 1000 traffic sources, than 1000 website visitors from only 2 traffic sources....think about it, this one thought alone could save your business!

    Let me know how I can help you further

    Sincerely;

    I like that idea the best, I'll probably make something that will be a generally free and easy way to get traffic and a buy button at the end of that. I'm guessing I'll sell it for $5 - $7, I'm a web dev, so I will probably make a landing page.

    You can find a lot of crap (sorry...) 3 dollar ebook on ebay. Do you want people to have the first impression that your ebook is the same as the other 3 dollar ebook? My suggestion is that you increase the price a little bit. Make the price look cheap not the quality. Search at google for similar ebooks as yours and see the normal price for the ebook. That'll get you started.

    I agree I own a retail store and perception is every thing. We raised the cost of a service that we offer and the sales on this service increased. You can always lower the price.
