All Mobile Phones in IRAN will turned off for 12 Hours in 13/Feb/2008

i a read from their online magazine they want to turn their mobile phones off for 12 hours on that date
they didn't said if 13feb is a holiday or special day for them in the article, they also included that they also included that they want to do this because the president didn't keep his promise to make mobile phone call cost very very lower

i know a little farsi and i read this article from farsi mobile magazine

 

I don't think is a special day or anything.. Just protesting against the cost of calls..

why don't they exchange oil for calls

 

you know how we have those "don't buy gas on (insert date here)" chain e-mails. maybe this is iran's version, except with cell phones.

Are you sure that it isnt gov't imposed to make sure people are not texting and calling loved ones on valentines day?

 

If it's for the simple reason that they want to protest, I doubt it's going to do much good. It's hard to make sense of anything from an article I don't understand though.
