    Hi everyone,

I was wondering whether you can help me. Suddenly we have started to receive this pop up every time we open our website and so do our readers. Can any of you help me with this?????? We're really concerned with it but cannot find any information and don't seem to be able to get rid of it.

Thanks a lot for your help, really appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Maria

Sure, the url is www.cairnsunlimited.com. Sorry I cannot make the link clickable yet. I don't know if it happens with some other pages as well.

Thanks a lot for your help,
    Maria

I would change your cPanel passwords and all admin passwords, and scan the code for changes. If you can't find it, upload a fresh backup of before the site started the pop-unders. All I can advice you on.

Hi again, we are using a new blog software, wordpress.com, could it be the problem? I also tried to register for Google Analytics, but only included the code in one page and deleted since them.

    Thanks a lot

No WordPress is a brilliant blog script, although I suspect you may have some vunerability and that is why the pop-under is appearing. Try putting a previous backup on, and see if that helps. If not, clean install I am afraid.

Hi, thanks again, we have managed to fix the problem. It seems that a company called CPX interactive added a malicious piece of code to one of our small javascript files forcing popunder ads. I visited their site yesterday trying different webmaster tools that one of the SEO forums I read advised to use.

We now have to change all our passwords, but we're not getting the popup any more.

Thanks a lot for your help. Cheers,
    Maria
