Can anybody suggest me a good online shopping site accepting paypal payments.. ? I think ebay.in , indiatimes.com , rediff.com dont accept paypal payments. any other nice reliable site ? Thanks.
Sorry mate.. I cant help you on this. You better check some International Online Shop who accepts PP and also ship to India as well.
I know such - there are many infact.. one of them is the top www.ebay.com And currently christmas promotion is going on by paypal for sites like yesasia.com and more.. But i am afraid of "Custom duties" Anybody know how much custom duty for some items like Rs 5000 ipod ? Also hows your experience from shopping on internation sites ?
No I don't think there is any Indian Shop accepting PayPal... But still search it out you may get some as now PayPal allowing Indian Banks so... Good Luck Dude !!
I am not sure.. but there is a 100% custom duty on importing electronics and mechanical goods. Why don't you buy an iPod from your local electronics market? Its widely available here in India.
yeah , i dont think any do , mainly because a lot of indians dont use paypal / moneybookers , its just a few webmasters who do. The only one who sells via paypal is jjmehta.com , they sell cameras, could be a good xmas buy
this is not Indian site but they accept Paypal and Ship to India as well www.expansys.com.hk I bought my cellphone from here
Had you paid 100% custom duty for it ? I am aware of custom duty but not aware that it is 100% (double price for an electronic ) The main advantage for online shopping is we can compare variety of products which is not available at local market in India
I found http://shop.indiainfo.com/ They say that they accept paypal payments http://shop.indiainfo.com/online-payment.php but i tried to buy one product but no paypal option Anyone could find any paypal product from indiainfo ?
I asked an ebay.in representative, he said the seller had the option of accepting payment by paypal. But most sellers don't use paypal. Just our luck...
previously gizmobazaar.com used to accept paypal but now it stopped i mailed them 3 times but still did not get any reply
I found a very nice and informative blog for import/export querries. http://personalimport.blogspot.com/ Comments appreciated. The blog says that -- if the Bought electronic is less than Rs2000 , no need to pay custom duty -- if the Bought electronic is more than Rs2000, you have to pay Custom (around 17%) + fine + penalty (dont know how much) -- If the Gift item is less than Rs 10000, no need to pay custom duty. Any more findings ?
sorry guys for a delay in reply I had gone for picnic anyways I paid around $50 for Shipping (FeDeX) + 1500 Rs. Custom and Duties
What was the selling price of your cellphone ? Did fedex paid the custom and collected from you lateron ?
I think selling price of 6300 at that time was $310 something (now it is lot cheaper) + $50 shipping = $360 + FeDex guy collected the Custom and Duties while handling me the package which was Rs. 1550 I guess so it was a total loss for me but was fun
just ask the seller to put some low value in the invoice and mark it as a gift - that way you can avoid paying any duties.
Have you tried it before, give details plz. If everybody do that, then there will be no Duties to pay
