im buying my very first domain name and i got to a page where it asks me weather to use the registrar name server or my own name server since i dont know anything about what that means can someone help me out ???? thanks in advance
Name servers are just something which tells you where the domain points to. Usually hosts have name servers like ns1.yourhost.com, ns2.yourhost.com But you have to ask your host what therename servers are and then put those name servers on the domain in order for it to go to your website.
so i need to get a webhost before buying a domain ??? if i choose the registrar name server can i change if later ??? its just that im planning on getting a webhost soon...and i msged this guy and he asked me whats my domain name ... im confused what should i do now :S
You dont need a webhost if you are just going to park the domain to earn money off of it. But if you want the domain to work with a website, then you will need a host. You can change name servers whenever you want. You really should get domain before getting the hosting
Name servers can be changed later, so the best solution if you don't know about this, is to use the ones the domain provider is suggesting you. When you choose to get a hosting account (or park it for money as rldowling03 mentions) the provider will give you the name serves you have to use.
