I fail to see the reasons why one must contribute to yahoo answers replying and stuff, what do the user replying get back in return ? Does yahoo pay repliers or its just free content for yahoo by users ?

From the site, here is what you get in return for contributing:
    • You make someone's day each time you reply
    • You give something of value to folks all over the globe
    • You share your intelligence for a good cause
On top of all that great stuff, you also get points. What are the points worth? Nothing at all, but at least you get some

that wont last long. the moment your site appears in yahoo answers too often, they would block your site.

it happened to almost everyone check other threads.

I don't see that happening very often, if you create quality responses at least. Because we write thought out answers we have around a 70% rate of having the chosen answer. Those links stick around and drive traffic, plus they're indexed and have decent value.

We also use answers.com. Basically what you want to do is create a high quality response and link to something on your site as a resource (your site ought to actually have info on the question's topic).
