Read the full thing here It may provide a lot of answers to what is happening just now.................
It's also posted on webmaster central blog. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/12/information-about-buying-and-selling.html Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the link, Wealdie. I usually only visit Matt Cutt's blog around once a week but this latest post should be worth a read. Thanks.
So, what should be the solution. We should change links in paid blog posts to no-follow? and hope to see the PR come back in the next update?
pure ajitation imo , in the end the grey zone will retreat and the areas will be occupied by spammers.
Wow what happened to the good old days when DP was full of professionals with insightful posts on topics like this? noobpoint has taken over.
Well, I do have one point here. Matt says that they have no trouble detecting affiliate links, but I beg to differ. I've noticed pages of one affiliate program I use go past my own pages on the subject when I didn't no-follow those links. Since I did not like that, I changed the links to no-follow. The result: now I rank for those key-phrases. So yes, google has a reason to want to hit payed links: they aren't very good at it.
