has anyone had experience with google and anchor text with "/" in it. (i.e. "Keyword1/Keyword2") does it treat the "/" as a space in the anchor text or does it combine the keywords into one? -Dan
In my opinion Google doesn't think keyword1/keyword2 is exactly the same as keyword1 keyword2. I think it sees it as "related".
/ is a valid string character. Seraches on G for key1/key2 vers key1 key2 show different results specifically if / hapens to be used in title. The question as always ... would a user use it? M
I'd suggest just putting spaces in there.. like Keyword1 / Keyword2.. no one will actually do something like Trees/Leaves so just be sure to have it as Trees / Leaves
Why not to stick to the meta tags rules? <meta name="keyword" content="comma, separated, words, but, not, spaces">
