Good news for people advertising in India, google today opened up regional targeting option for India.
I get a good amount of traffic from India. What sort of strategies should I use for business and technologies topics? Should I bid higher for Bangalore or other regions?
thank u very much mate.... i didn't notice that before....will be very useful for creating campaigns statewise... but it does not allow you to target citywise. ...for that option you have to choose <customize> option while creating the new campaign and then you can enter the latitude and longitude coordinates for that particular location. You can also target ads in circumferential area around the location you have selected... Edited to add Type city names (one per line) in the box below. this option is not available for Indian cities....only 1st tier countries have this option...like US, Canada, UK, Australia etc.... so as of now if u want to target indian cities, the only option will be to get their latitude and longitude coordinates and use the <customized> option.
wow thats a gr8 news i always wanted to target mumbai bcos the traffic from Mumbai is all teenagers who want to earn money and which is what i need for my affiliate sites
you can...the third option while creating a new campaign... just get the latitude and longitude co-ordinates of mumbai and get a circumferential diameter...say 15kms...etc....your ad will then target an area of 15kms around mumbai.... i dont know how effective this type of targetting has been.... someone who has done this type of targetting...can u pls let us know your experiences...
