Backlinks in Webmaster tools updated today

I notice today that the links showing in Google webmaster tools has just increased.

This seems to be updated a lot more regularly than it used to be.

How often is this updated, or is it pretty random??

Yes, I noticed the updated backlinks on Google 2 days back. They got updated quickly this time.

It seems random. At times, the links update often and then other times it seems to be a super long time in between. One thing to be sure with Google, never rely on anything. They beat by their own drummer and no one can predict when they do any thing they do.

Yes, I also thinking it's random. Their update is not regular.

i guess its random, there really aint no definite day when they are updating it...

I've got a site that just went from 0 to 5000 backlinks in this update, its fairly new so was well pleased with that

It seems random and it should be

Google cannot tell you when they are going to do an update.

If they did everybody would have links, real or artificial, ready and waiting.

As soon as Google indexed the links people would then let the links drop until

the next time Google told everybody they were going to do another update.

Some things really are best kept secret.

The most i have is around 7,000 links for one of my sites, "MAB" 166,924 links, thats some going... Is that a forum site?

well i had a PR3 Domain which i've redirected it to my new Site
ONLY 1 Week And 6 Days I Got " 166 924 "

Its about one year old, PR4 and ranks #2 in SERPs for Funny Pictures and #6 for Funny Pics.

Hey I wonder if maybe Google updates on more of a rotating basis instead of all at once.

Most likely it is a multiple day process, I wouldn't imagine them needing to rush it all in one day anyways, its probably revolving updates.
