    Okay, so I admit this post isnt actually mine, but rather one that my friend Marc Lindsay has made over at another forum.

    But it answers quite a few questions that have been raised in here recently and figured that the Digital Point forum could benefit from it.

    This sounds like pretty standard keyword researched site type stuff. The one thing that jumped out at me was:

    What does he mean by that? Why would you not want to be number one?

    I think what he means is do not get obsessed with number 1 for a particular keyword. If you're on the top of the results at number 2 or 3, don't waste all your time getting to number 1 when you can work on getting ranked higher for other keywords that you score low in. At least, that's what I got out of it. He could've meant something completely different, but I'll stick with my interpretation.
