I found out through a moderator on a popular SEO forum that by putting a secret prefix before a search term that you can enter the special google admin area where you can manually alter rankings. I tested it out and briefly pushed my site to #1 for the term "make money online": The moderator told me that lots of the SEO "experts" have been using this for ages to inflate rankings. Evidently google has a few checks in place for it though so if your rankings increases too much or too quickly you get flagged. The trick is just to increase your rankings slowly so that it avoids detection. I wrote more about it on my blog here.
*raises one eyebrow* if I had such a secret, I'd keep damn quiet about it. I certainly wouldn't want everyone on the internet knowing about it....unless...
Wow.. If I knew how I'd still be a bit too scared to do so because you never know if Google will ban your site for doing so.
Well I sure do not see your site #1 for "make money online" right now! So what happened? Did it work too good and you got delisted or did it really even work? LOL
OK, this is a great PR stunt (public relations rather than page rank ). There's a part of me that wishes it were true tho
i don't think about SECRET Google Admin Area. I know lot of seo people. they never mention about that.
