did you know cherryboys.com has 62 listings on DMOZ? advertised as "a yummy batch of gay boy sites" http://www.whois.sc/CHERRYBOYS.COM Totally pathetic!
Or how about this page: http://dmoz.org/Adult/Arts/Online_Writing/Fiction/BDSM/Spanking/Free/ Haley Brimley's Spanking Stories Archive - A collection of Haley's stories. Includes original fiction, non-fiction and fan-fiction. Stories feature the non-consensual or semi-consensual spanking of late preteens and early/late teenagers. DMOZ is corrupt ... plain and simple
Because I am against child pornography and because DMOZ does not deserve to be used as Google's directory if they are supporting illegal activities on their site.
The actual answer to how I found this is I was looking here: http://www.whois.sc/internet-statistics/dmoz-listings.html?page=6 As you can see, this is a list of site that have multiple listings in DMOZ. One really nice thing I'm finding about users of PHP Link Directory is 99.9% of them do not list porn sites, and I am not aware of any that list child pornography. It's great to see some quality sites being created. They may be small now, but wait a couple of years, and I'll bet DMOZ will be smaller than some them. DMOZ lacks quality, and eventually it will catch up to them!
DMOZ or better said DMOZ editors support this kind of porn because it is mostly owned by them. How otherwise do you think they get so many listings? Just wait a few minutes and DMOZ editors will be here with all kind of excuses that they don't like it but .............................................. excuse number 999, excuse number 1000, they can not do anything about it.
I thought the reason that they reject like 99.9% of those editor applications was to prevent such abuse and corruption (don't we often hear about how such corruption doesn't exist). I'm confused. DMOZ, please explain.
Well, this thread has been up awhile and we never heard from an editor, but I noticed that as soon as David posted this, several were viewing the thread (including a certain meta editor). I take it someone took care of that little problem right away.
Yea, someone deleted them....just a very quick search through Google's version of DMOZ led me to: http://directory.google.com/Top/Adu...ian,_and_Bisexual/Gay/Softcore/Solo/AVS/UGAS/ One of the cherryboy pages is there.
By the way, Try searching Google for "DMOZ cherryboys" and you will find they in fact have a whole bunch of listings, internal pages for cherryboys.com. Some editor, it would seem, is spamming the index with his site.
Correct search is http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?search=cherryboys.com&all=yes&cs=UTF-8&cat=Adult
Ah ha found one. http://dmoz.org/Adult/Image_Galleries/Gay,_Lesbian,_and_Bisexual/Gay/Ethnic/Latin/AVS/UGAS/ "rainforest native boy" (and some others too) Why didn't it come up in google with: site:dmoz.org cherryboys.com that's odd. Oh well.
It is not only cherry boys that DMOZ editors like, they also like rape and torture. Check out how many rape and torture sites is listed with multiple links for each site.
I'm gunna have to change my site theme from "water health" to "water sports" maybe then I can get a listing in DMOZ
