    Hey All,

I will plan to buy Laptop on coming Monday. I have collected informations of all companies that provides Laptop with good features like:-

    1. Sony
    2. Lenovo
    3. HP
    4. Compaq
    5. Acer
    6. Sahara

I don't have much money to buy it on cash so I will take EMI monthly system. Lenovo provides 0% EMI schemes till Diwali Fest, not other companies provide me 0% interest free finance. After paid all EMI and some processing fees It cost me around 49100 (1225$) total. The actual cost of the laptop is 48100.

    I want your kind advice!

is Lenovo is good laptop or not?

    Model Number is Lenovo 3000 Y500 77614EQ

I greatly appreciate your advice :)

    Go with Lenovo.

I've ran a ton of computers personally and worked on even more. There is a reason large companies use the T series from lenovo, they are great. The T61 is one of the best Windows laptops around.

The actual best Windows machine is a Mac. Running bootcamp or parallels you can run Windows on Apple hardware. My macbook pro is the best laptop I have ever owned. Only issue was the fact it was $2100USD, not cheap. When buying my current machine I was either going to go with the T61 or the Macbook pro; both are great machines.

I am personally using Acer from last 2 1/2 years and i likes it..works fine used both linux and windows in it without any troubles... faced some issues with Acer IHD6 (for sound) drivers for Suse 10.1, but since 10.2 is out.. everything is fine with it as well..
Have used Compaq as well and its a nice brand too.

Both have good support as well..

    Hope it helps

No shipping would me extra. Don't know exactly how much it would cost but definitely total cost would be cheaper then India

Actually I have a contact who is working there in IBM and getting 25% employee discount on purchase of any Lenovo Laptop ;)

    INR 28000 = $400

There is mistake in your calculation mate. INR 28000 = ($725 to $740) ;) Yes compaq offered that one laptop with low config and low price.
