I noticed that pagerank reverted and the caches dissapeared at the same time....

 

That's funny, it seems like it's across the board.

 

Looks like someone pressed "format c: -all datacentres"

Whoops oh well, it was only a gazillion megaterabytes.

 

Google Cache Currently Offline

I was getting a bit worried until I saw it wasn't just me

 

Wouldn't that be rm * -Rf ?
I highly doubt google is running windows

I am not seeing any pagerank reverted, but I am seeing the cache gone on all sites I checked.

Wow, it has gone back to a january 9 cache for my site.

 

Is it possible that this is part of bring their new "bigdaddy" data center online. Sorry if the name of the center is wrong, but I remember reading something about it here before. Also, I noticed that Google's index page isn't refreshed anymore, either. It's about five days old in the cache right now, too.

 

My new site has a Jan. 23 cache (created site on Sunday night)

 

Yeh Im seeing alot of sites with cache up to 9 Jan - I've stopped looking (til I saw this thread) to be honest, fed up of the damn changes and quirks with Google and the other major search engines..

 

So is this Google cranking up the shredder and purging info so they don't have it for the US government info request. haha
