Phew! I have finally broken the $1,000 in gross commissions a day. In my local currency SGD$ - was about US$765+-. Have plans to keep ramping up my campaigns till I hit my first $1,000 net profit day! Hopefully by December... Probably thought I'd share how I got to this level, and roughly what I'm doing. I'm into CPA marketing, and am buying traffic from search engines and driving them to relevant offers. When the visitor fills in a form to request more info etc., I get paid. Been doing this for about 5 months now, and am really starting to see an explosion in my commissions. Initially, I was struggling and in my first month, I even made a loss of about $300. Broke even 2nd month, and have never looked back since. For those who are struggling to make decent money online, perhaps ask yourself these questions: Are there already people doing this that are wildly successful? Am I able to replicate their success? If not, why? Am I spending time on something which I do not know whether it will make me money For myself, when I started in CPA marketing, I decided to learn from the best in the industry. I turned to Gauher Chaudhry, and bought a home-study course from him. Wasn't cheap, but it was worth every cent. I must say this course changed my entire life, and I can't begin to say how great this course is. Before you think this is turning into a real long sales pitch, do know that if you're into CPA marketing, and are struggling to make a decent income online, I will be willing (if time permits) to have a look at what you're doing, and possibly helping you out a little. Will update when I manage to hit my 1st $1,000 net day. Hope it will be sooner than I expect! Benjamin
I'm promoting numerous offers (>20) spread out over a couple of niches... Free giveaways, trial offers, weight loss, education, ringtones (yeah, even those) etc. Been at this for a few months, and glad to see I'm finally seeing some decent numbers. Here's exactly what i do, in much less details: Find an offer Research demand for offer Research supply for offer Do keyword research Write my ad and get it up on Yahoo/MSN/Google Test and track. If profitable, increase keyword list. Else, scrap and move on Track keywords for profitability, adgroups for higher CTR%, and delete non-performing keywords and reword less CTR% ad groups Repeat
Great Job. Can you please tell me what sort of commission your trying to get. I usually try to only promote offers that give me a $25+ commission. Do you do the same?
congrats, I wish I had enough extra money to support a ppc campaign, all my money is tied up at the moment.
Just a few questions: Do you build a single page website for all of these offers? Do you use sub-domains or create a new domain everytime?
I am starting with lower paying offers, and conversions are usually better, and it takes less money to test whether it'll be profitable or not. Screenshots: Have almost 10 ad networks, so I'll just grab a pic off my main networks - Hydramedia and COPEAC. Have blanked out the vital info. Taken from the 26th Oct (yesterday). Weekends have been slower so far, but its a usual trend. So most likely I'll see volume picking up from Mondays onwards again.
In fact, I'm starting to see a slight cashflow problems in Nov and probably in December, as usually traffic will pick up in this period of time. Am talking to a friend to see if I can get a 50k loan, to tide me over in my PPC expenses, till I at least manage to get past this 'over-expanding phase' and manage my outflow every month. If you build single page websites to test every offer, chances are you will take much longer to test an offer. I have a system that I follow systematically (eh), which works for others. The system is the Pay Per Click Formula. I have a review for it in my signature, do have a look. I personally just use sub-domains from my huge list of domain names, related to the niche of course, and iFrame the offer. Of course you need to make it relevant also... to get low bids. But I have enough Tools of the Trade for this aspect
Thanks for answering my question. At the moment I use copeac, and I'm mostly trying to tackle offers that have a high commission, even if I have to pay more per click for adwords.
If I have 1 tip to give you, it will be this: Google is not everything. There is still Yahoo and MSN... Thats all I have to say
The best offers for me are the zip code offers...easy to make money with. I earn from my websites, though. Have not tried search marketing yet. Hope to venture that way soon!!!
My gross margins are around 50-60% on most days... Gross margin = Profits / Revenue. So for each $1 I spend, i get back slightly more than $2. Its a good ratio, one that I'm rather proud of Got it to this level by tweaking ad groups, deleting non-performing keywords, and just generally fussing over my campaigns like a naggy mom. Ben
I guess I agree with you somewhat: Zips are just cash machines, if you know how to do them properly. Just target your audience, do not mislead them, get lots of cheap traffic, and track your conversions. But in the long run, I plan to switch over to those higher payout offers, as I feel they're less 'shady' and have more credibility. But in the meantime, I'll milk it for all its worth. Do hit me up if you need help getting started in Search Marketing (PPC) - its tough getting in this game. *Update: 27th Oct Sat - had another >$1,000 gross day. Net >$600. (local currency SGD$) Particularly pleased, as it was a weekend, and usually my volume fall by 20 - 30% during this period. Guess it was due to a sale of a product which gave me a US$200 commission
Got this PM, and thought I'd address it here. Keywords are the bread and butter of this PPC game. A person who is adept at keyword research will find the PPC game a breeze, whereas a person who does not know much about keyword research will simply not make a profit. A simple tip is this: When researching keywords, think out of the box. Eg: You are doing a weight loss offer. Don't think of the first words that come to your mind, eg: Lose weight, weigh less, weight loss, burn fat etc. Those keywords are most likely thought of by hundreds if not thousands others. What you could do to make it more specific, is to simply add a variation to it... Lose weight alabama, weigh less in alabama, weight loss in alabama, burn fat in alabama... Such keywords are termed "long tail keywords", and your costs will go down quite abit. Just one of the many ways to generate those long-tail converting keywords. How to scout for niches with good demand? Simply think of what people need, then use some keyword research tool to see if pple actually search for them, and you're done! But also do search for the 'supply' - by actually going to Google/MSN/Yahoo and searching for those keywords, and seeing how many ads are appearing there. This will give u a rough idea of how tough the competition is for that niche. Ben
Outstanding efforts. Do you have any affiliate links that I can sign-up under you? Sounds like fun. PM me details please. Look forward to speaking to you.
