Another Google Update Happening - My PR gone down again
Hi
I just found another Google update to my website but all bad news. My site has gone down from PR3 to PR2 in the last Google Update and an hour back my site went down to PR1. I checked my website at Google DC's, and some of them reports it to be PR1 and some still PR2. For Proof Please look at this image from a Data Center Check on MyPageRank.net for my website  However, I have am pretty strong that all this happen within a couple of hour of writing this post because I had checked my sites PR, 3-4 hour ago in Google Toolbar which showed it to PR 2 and now it shows PR 1 Please share your views............. Why are peoples PR going up and down, when mine hasnt even been touched, still at 0 with over 3k backlinks and lots of pr4-5 with the same niche, predicted 4-5 PR also

Don't expect PR update in one go. I think they have decided to update the PR at any time so as to make their system less predictable.

yep, my site that fell 5-4 a couple of weeks ago is now PR3!
I wouldn't mind so much, except I took text-link-ads off the site a couple of months ago when they announced they would penalise sites that sold links...and loads of sites that are blatantly selling links are unchanged. here's hoping its temporary! |

These two PR updates from Google have really given strength to the two rumours
1. Google is Upto Something Real Big with its PR system, might be thinking of even closing it. 2. Google has become a Strict Daddy who is punishing everyone who sells links resulting in some Honest persons also being punished for no reason. I am strong beleiver of the First Theory. As, I have some sites with 20 links sold on them and their PR have remained where it was in the past two months. Moreover, if Selling Links would have been the case, directories sites should have been the first target by Google not websites based on blogs and quality content. Let me know your views on the above.......... |

I have seen so many directories, sites, blogs got drop in PR value:
4 Blogs i know dropped from PR6 to PR4 6+ Directories dropped from PR6 to PR4 5+ Sites dropped from PR6 to PR4 Lot of popular directories like Alive, Aviva, Gii, AllyDirectory, Elegant, Romow, Bigweblinks, DirectoryDump etc... showing PR4 now

Well here everything remains same.. no changes.. and this is something, even im not able to understand.. that y u got ur PR changed after an update. The question that you asked that within sometime from Pr3 - Pr1.. actually it takes time and some time u r awake and other time u might be in bed... So this time u saw the process... Other best person to answer this question is Matt Cutts

No change for my websites, even I don't bother, if it will be Zero, PR has no importance.
