Requesting The admins Consider someone to Be a Certain Mod

Hello Digital Point,

As we all know there comes a time when we need to add new mods to the forum for various reasons,

Many of the members here are being abused by some of the trolls in the directory section of this forum,

As I do agree that all of the mods here do an excellent job, I think that the directory section could use an additional moderator,

In fact I think that someone who knows the in's and the out's of that certain forum would have a great impact on the control and quality and here is why I think that,

1) Regular senior members of that directory section otherwise known as "guru's" can spot certain things fast,

Vocabulary similarity's

Like every forum , there are members that get banned, BUT the nice part is its harder to change the way you write and react , so members that are in those forums can catch these bad guys faster.

So, with that said a member who is in that area, can spot issues like this faster.

Directory Industry As A whole

Dp has become the world's largest webmaster forum, there is no denial, its true, and just like other forums and huge sites they have guru's handing the certain parts,

Some of these directory guys do it not just for the money but to make the web a better place and having a true guru running shop would just not add value to that section but to dp as a whole.

In conclusion

With the above said there is one TRUE member that would fit this position perfectly and many I am sure are going to agree,

His name is Britishguy,

I have been a member of this forum for almost 2 years and 55oo posts later,, I have never meet someone so passionate about the industry as Pete , and yes thats "britishguys" name,

I ask that all off dp show there support and vote yes for Pete to become the mod of the directory section.

In turn I hope the admins will take a look at this thread and all the positive responses about Pete and consider him for the mod,

Remember , the mod position is non paid, so anyone that is like Pete that would want to vest time into making something better , well thats just a beautiful thing.

Yep. I would agree wholeheartedly. Pete has hardly put a step out of line. He's very reliable IMO.

Another vote for Britishguy here.
He is very honest and fair guy who knows a lot about directories and I am sure he would do a great job.

 

Great request -

It is time to make directory forums a great place to share ideas to improve our directories.

But is not going to happen unless some changes take place, this forum has become waste of time for many of us because most of thread become off topic in no time.

I really think it is time to have a MODERATOR from among us to moderate this forum. Whether it is Pete or someone else as long as we can take back control and start having a friendly atmosphere for everyone that visits this forum.

My vote goes for Pete (britishguy). If he becomes mod, I'm sure he will do a good job.

I am glad to see that Peter is respected as much as I thought he was,

Lets make dp stronger and let some of these great dp leaders, help manage the place

I agree, I may not go there often but when I do BritishGuy always give his best advice.

 

I've only seen a few of his posts, but he always came off as helpful; I've never seen him use sarcasm, be rude, or talk down to anyone...

If he is interested it would be very beneficial for this forum to make him a mod.
