You don't have any idea of how much revenue ravenclaw.info is taking in? I might be interested in this if it's got some income.

 

I've had many "Harry Potter" sales in Amazon, CJ and even one at moviesunlimited for $9.99 (this is the only site I use them on), but don't have tracking set up, so can't be sure how much this particular site generated. But if you look at the enormous traffic and make even a conservative guesstimate, there was sure to be more than enough to warrant the low price.

Is this a wordpress site?

Where did the content come from?

 

No, the Ravenclaw site was custom-made in PHP (about 40 pages). It uses includes for easy changes. There's no backend (except for the shoutbox and the quiz).

Some content is original, some from Wikipedia. Some official content (e.g. video clips) used with permission from WB. It also has an original "Ravenclaw Quiz".

The site design is perhaps a bit dated (it's almost 2 years old), and a bit of redesign could help capitalize on the high traffic numbers better.

Apart from the revenue I can actually track, as set out above, there is no way of "estimating" income from the other affiliates, as I use them on many sites and don't have per site channels set up.

Now with the recent Dumbledore "gay controversy", adumbledore//info is starting to get some more search engine traffic.

It is also on page #1 of Google and others for search phrases (that people actually search for) such as dumbledore accomplishments, albus dumbledore skills, importance of albus dumbledore, who played ablus dumbledoor in harry potter and the prisoner of askaban, etc.

See the referrers here (only since 2007-10-20).

The site has also already received 47 unique visitors since Oct 9 - about 3 UV/day.
