One of my sites has dropped from pr4 to pr3 which is absolute BS!

    and you ask why?

Because since it was last a pr4, i have added it to numerous pr6 sites, even one pr7 and many more pr4 and pr5 sites.

    This is absolute BS!

What is happening with google pr!?

Look around the forum. lots of people complaining about this same type of thing but I haven't noticed anyone saying their PR went up.

Seems a change is coming. My ranks have stayed at 5 and 3 even though the 3 site now has more than 10,000 bl. iweb predicted a 6 pr coming, but I doubt that is accurate (it said 85% whatever that means).

Last time I tried the iweb predictor it showed insufficient backlinks for every site, including google and microsoft so i think it's broke too.

To be honest everything is flawed. E.G my sites such as "Sachin Tendulkar" are being outranked by sites about hockey, which mention Sachin once in, 560 pages of text.

It could be that Google changed it PR algorithm so some backlinks don't count as much as they did before, especially backlinks from high PR sites that sell links. But that's just my opinion :)

My old blogspot blog dropped from PR5 to PR4 which is unreasonable. Why? All the links have been pointed to my new domain and it only drops till PR4 :p

I watch my serp's and traffic much more closely than my PR, I have seen both steadily rising over the last few months, so if PR drops it doesn't matter anyway, if they change the algo and devalue links or drop you PR, surely it doesnt matter if you are getting better serps and traffic anyway. I would watch those factors instead, they are what really matters.

    Hey there,

All of my websites have stayed the same so far so I guess that is a good thing if everyone elses is dropping :)

Although my freelance programming can not drop anymore heh.. I bought that domain used and it was already a PR0. That PR predictor is predicting a PR2 for it though, so it will be interesting to see how accurate that is. I also got about a 85% accuracy with that tool

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

My one site has gone down to pr 4 from pr 5.

I had 3 pr 8 backlinks 4 pr 7 backlinks and many pr 6 backlinks but it still gone down.

And wht's the worst part is G has oinly reduced the pages of pr which from before had pr.

They have not updated the new pages that i had added.

    They have started playing games

i definitely agree with the SERPS comment. That's much more important than page rank. I think PR is pointless in the long run, but it's still a decent indicator of site quality.

It happened to me over the past few days.

I have other pr0 sites that should be pr5 but have had no change, it looks like something is happening with the pr update, i just hope it temporary with things like this!

I assume its the directory you're talking about.. many people are experiencing the same. Directories don't really contain any unique content and I think Google is trying to stop that.
