AdSense article in NYTimes with Shawn Hogan

I picked up the latest AdSense news articles tonight off GNews and spotted a New York Times article, and recognized the picture of Shawn before I even read anything on the page. It is definitely worth a read, it has some good information highlighted there.

Google.com and the company's foreign search sites contribute more to Google's bottom line than AdSense, because for every dollar the company brings in through AdSense and other places that distribute its ads, it pays roughly 78.5 cents back to sites like Digital Point that display the ads.

I never would have guessed it was that high.

I got a laugh out of the "Mr. Hogan" (I know the NY Times always uses that after mentioning the full name)

Does that 78.5 cent figure include Premium publishers like AOL? Smaller publishers may not be getting that much but I don't know for sure.
