So the genocide, the tremendous terror that the Armenians went through won't be counted as such since Bush has no interest in its recognition.

If an ally does a genocide or some other serious crime most likely it can get away with it.

If US wants to be the leader in democracy Bush and the republicans should support this legislation.
As a matter of fact US presidents and admins often act like US is the most democratic country in the world, and are often lecturing others on it.
If they don't support this legislation, that will show that US before all has her own interest and then everything else.
