Hi sam, I have brought and tried both services...here's what I think Keyword Discovery: 1) Seems to be more accurate due to drawing information from more sources rather than just 2 in the case of wordtracker 2) More versatile? Wordtracker 1) Easy to use interface It really depends on what you are using them for. If it just for finding keywords for your articles or anything short term...don't subscribe. Can be very expensive too, especially Keyword Disco since they only provide monthly payment plans. If you want to try out, go for Wordtracker's 1 week plan. Cheap and long enough for you do a project (research keywords for your Adwords campaign...) If you just want to find keywords for your articles...content...use their free services instead. http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ Should be good enough. As for accuracy...don't bother. All keyword services are not accurate to the dot. Just use them to get a good idea of whether there are many people searching for the keywords. Just my 2 cents.
if you want cheaper keyword discovery, subscribe to nichebot. they offer $1 trial for two weeks. you can explore both keyword discovery + wordtracker there and see which one fit you best.
WordTracker has the excellent GTrends tool. This allows you to actually check how much Google traffic keyword phrases get. http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/gtrends/
I am currently using the free keywords wordtracker for my keyword research and have got a few projects on the go. A lot more reliable I think than the old Overture tool. TD
I checked the tool. Seems to be good. But does anyone knows that these searches are for which month???
I use wordtracker. It gets results from dogpile and metacrawler. I believe the results displayed are daily searches but i may be wrong about that.
Keyword discovery is much better for long tail phrases. but for popular keywords they almost the same. For some therms wordtracker getting 10 time more searches per day than KD . This is why KD is more expensive but you can get 50 deep searches on KD on nichebot for 10$.Also it has more pretty good features Yes it's expensive but if you do small number of sites per month it's enough.
Did you have take a look to this new tool mykeywordfinder It is much more productive than others to achieve a good keyword analysis Since I have discover it - I have no more need to use wordtracker or keyworddiscovery
I am using both of Keyword tolls. My point of view Word tracker is far better then KD. WT output monthly search volume and obhiousily a web owner easily catch his site KWs compititors but KD saw result daily search volume. A web owner may be wait 30 days for choosing a targeted trafick keyword.
Use both to overkill your Keyword list. Clean same keywords at SeoBook's free tool. But between them I prefer Keyword Discovery
word tracker is good. i search few keywords on word tracker and kd. here are is results keyword search results on KD=200 and word tracker = 500 KD show 1 year data. and word tracker 1 month or i think 3 month data. so check the difference.
