    The Situation
For Canadians, there are very few payment processors that allow us to use the service for online wagering and gambling.

I was recommended to EcoCard.com to make a deposit from my bank account and than pay the Sports Betting site via my EcoCardaccount.

After signing up, and adding my savings account, they take a small fee that you need to verify from your bank statement how much, to activate your account.

I verified that fee after 2-3 business days, and was given the green light to start using my EcoCard account.

I selected to deposit $100 and was instantly given notice, that I would need to Fax a copy of my bank statement, Passport and drivers License.

I replied to them, saying I did not have access to a Fax machine, and to please simply cancel the account.

Within 2 hours the account was suspended, saying "Your EcoCard account is currently locked. Please contact the EcoCard Security Team for assistance".

I check my bank account and nothing was taken, my EcoCard account is closed and I'm content.

    The SCAM
3 Business days after I have moved on with my life, my bank account shows: "Ecocard CMS - 100.00 Debit"

At first I'm thinking, great, they activated my account and successfully got the funds from my bank account, so I can use it as originally planned.

But, I try logging into my account, and it's still Suspended/Locked Out.

I contact them by Email, asking to turn on the account, because they obviously were able to get the funds afterall (Without copies of passport, statements etc.)

No reply... 2 days later I email again... No reply... The next day I email again, asking to please turn on the account, or reverse the transaction back to my bank account.

Within minutes I get IP banned from EcoCard.com -- I turn on a proxy and visit the site just fine, but without a proxy, i get a white page "Browser timed out".

I phone my bank asking them to reverse the unauthorized transaction, and their advice is to phone the police or else seek legal advice.

So WTF? My bank can't protect me for some reason, EcoCard gains $100 that I can't access, and others will continue to fall into the trap. I've now done some researching and can see that I am not the only person this has happened to. People complaining how they suddenly can't open the website in their browser after making a deposit.

Oh, yes I also can cofirm that EcoCard is a scam operator :((

They would arbitrarily close your account and would require a tons of papers and scans from you in order to seal your balance...

I would definitely stay away from this scam guys... :(
