    I like Notepad 2 - it is a lot like notepad with syntax highlighting. I do NOT like WYSIWYG editors.

    I believe that you could employ WYSIWYG editors to your advantage even if you are doing manual coding: Dreamweaver can cut down the time to add elements to your page, since all it takes is a few clicks to get things added, and you could see what happens in the code view, and edit it if and when it goes astray

    Actually, with a little searching you can still find EditPad Lite floating around the web.

    I have my copy from like 7 years ago.. excellent program... nice to see someone else has experience with it.

    Mine is also Araneae, the simplest is the best when you know how to do your work withoug WYSIWYG or Front Page-Dreamweaver cosmetics ;)
