Thought it would be interesting to get some thoughts on this (without giving away too many secrets ).
Take a look at the current Apple Laptop contest results for an idea... http://www.google.com/search?q=Reds###cowl+Bluesingsky Take ### out of the URL! (You think I'll try to let DP win it??!! You're nuts!!!) The site in 1st place really cracks me up!!! They turned it in to a Holiday Resort page. So we know... 1. Having the keyword all over helps!! 2. Have it in the URL. 3. Have the keyword in BOLD and headers.... Oh crud....helping out da competition!! I'll shut up now!!! Bah!! I'm in last place...right now since it's only a link to a page linking to my page on the topic!!!
Of course all of that will help but I think age will factor into it as well. I am going with an established blog. Wish i had time to go for this. Oh well maybe the next one.
Okay the one after that. Dude I am in school too (I hate c++). Add in work and a wife and I am one busy Greenguy. 10,000 would be sweet though. Don't really care about the IPod, got my XM and PSP and I am ready.
If you want a nice preview, look at the current Redscowl Bluesingsky results on 22 data centers. (Apple Laptop contest.) Note the domain names of the top few!!!
I'm guessing that having some big (reputable) sites linking to the mystery key words is going to be a big deciding factor NeO
Yes NeO1 that will be a key factor in this contest. That leads me to believe that it will take an established site to make a difference. But, as "anything goes" in this competition, some underhanded blackhat could surprise us all.
There is one more forum going on in which I am participating so just wanted to know what if I use an establish website and create a forum? Does this combinations sounds good. Will i be able to rank for SEOContest2008 keyword with this strategy? Thanks
