First, here's the site: http://www.sefanatics.com/ I know people keep asking this a lot. I hope someone could give me estimated price. Here's some info: - 20 000 uniques visitors per month - Home page is PR 4. Categories are PR 3. - Alexa Rank: 245,099 - Forum has 1600+ registered users - Online since: 15-Nov-2005 - Got backlinks from big sites, like engadgetmobile.com, intomobile.com, clubsonyericsson.com - Makes 150-200 $ per month How much would you pay for site like this?
from smart pagerank it said 7,883$ (optimistic calculation) however when we are selling the website we will calculate fom monthly income x 12 months (approx) so your case is 150-200 x 12 = 1800-2400$
It's only worth as much as someone will pay for it... This means, you might really value the work and effort put into the forum and whatever but everyone you're selling to is going to be worried about the ROI or return on investment they get on the site. This basically means that you shouldn't price a site on what you think its worth, rather on what your market think's its worth - which is the whole point of this thread I guess
Any ways you are earning 150-200 $/month then why should you sell for 3000$. It is like getting annual income at once. you should have some profit from selling.
$2000-$3000 IF the subject is something someone would be interested in. A site is normally worth what it makes in one year... now many things can change that number or decrease that number. Domain name, design, backlinks, subject, how it makes money, etc. I personally wouldn't buy that site for the subject alone... but this is me. I think peeg said it best, its worth whatever someone is willing to play. I have sold sites that should have sold for much less and I have bought sites that I should have paid much less for.
I wouldn't go purely on income. It all depends how much a certain person can monetize it, it could potentially make much more. Given the traffic and age I would say about $2,000 - $5,000. Dnscoop estimates your site at $17,066 though so it's all spurious. Depends on a lot of things.
Depends also how much time you need to spend on the site. The less time you need to spend for those $150-200, the more valuable it is.
