Bernie Sanders Destroys Alan Greenspan.........A Must See Video.

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by tesla, Sep 22, 2007.

In this video by We Are Change, Congressman Bernie Sanders rips Alan Greenspan apart in what has to be one of the best youtube videos I've seen all year. In this video, Sanders puts to rest the thoughts of Gtech, lorien, zman, mia by telling the truth about the U.S. economy and outsourcing.

    Watch this video:http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/september2007/210907_b_greenspan.htm

This guy really lays the smack down on Greenspan..........I bet he is so embarrased. By putting this video on Digital Point, I've finally sealed the coffin of those who think "everything is fine, nothing is wrong" with the U.S. economy. Even representatives in Congress agree with my views on the economy, as well as leading economists. Unfortunately, this is not a situation where I'm proud to be right. I wish I were wrong. :(

At about 5 seconds into the video, it looks like Greenspan is saying, "I got five on it."

Here is the whole exchange between Greenspan and Sanders:

It's just a little reminder. And as you said Bernanke is just a replay. Just like when the president changes, it doesn't really change much.

These videos may be more heat than light, but maybe they will encourage a few people to question this system and read about it.

    Figures YOU would like him!

Sanders is standing up for the working middle class American. The figures and facts he cited are real. Who cares if he is a socialist or not if he is right?

This forum is rife with ignorant partisanship.

This is a weak argument, and its the only argument that ly2 has. I have to at least give gtech and the others credit: they didn't bothering trying to refute the video, because there is nothing to refute.

But ly2 assumes that because Sanders is not bowing down to wealthy financial interests that comprise like 1% of the U.S. population, but control nearly 48% of the wealth, he is a socialist.

Ly2, Bernie Sanders is fighting for people like you as well as me. Even if you have lots of money, having lots of money doesn't make you the Elite of America. If the country gets destroyed because of outsourcing, and all the stuff he mentioned, we won't have much of an economy.

By attacking him for being a socialists, you're feeding into the left/right paradigm that the government uses to control you. As a fellow American, I encourage you to do research and break this psychological conditioning, for it is this conditioning that is playing a role in the destruction of the U.S.

This is completely irrelevant, and you've missed the point, like so many people in this forum. The age of the video means nothing. I posted it on Digital Point to show that those who believe everything is great with the U.S. economy are wrong, and Congressmen don't even agree with them.

I was just about to ask WTF is Bernie Sanders?

I always find it amazing that those that pretend they care about America, are the ones that tear it down ceaselessly, like some in this thread. I mean, when's the last time anyone can ever remember tinfoil tesla or goober guerilla saying something good about America?

I've never seen either. Never, not once. That's what makes it hard to even think about supporting their candidate. Why would I want to consider their candidate for POTUS when that candidate's followers spend all their time tearing down our country?

It's a shame they don't have the foresight to see this. If they spent some time defending their country and saying something positive about it, for once, people might think "hey, maybe that RP has something going?" Instead, people like me are left thinking "if that's all they do, it must be what their candidate does too."

I appreciate you putting up the whole video. I was looking for it........:)

I'm watching the entire video right now, and my god, Sanders really beats the crap out of Greenspan. I know Greenspan is somewhat of a passive guy, but he can't even mount any type of convincing argument.

Now Gtech, you know that isn't true. I just posted good things about America in the thread started about poverty, and whether or not it has to be this way:http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=483011

In this thread, I talked about why America emerged as a powerful country, due to it having a strong Middle Class. Did you miss my post?

As usual, instead of debunking what Sanders is saying, you attack us for tearing down the country. A real patriot is a man or woman who tells it like it is, and doesn't try to sugar coat a problem instead of realizing it exists, and taking steps to solve it.

So Bernie Sanders is not American now because he confronts Greenspan on a serious issue? Come on Gtech.........a coward is someone who goes along with the system, who does whatever he is told.......a courageous person is someone who stands up and tells the truth, no matter what the consequences. It would be easy for Sanders to not say anything and go along with the system, but he doesn't, and he should be applauded for that I think.....

Did I miss it? Nope, I saw your diatribe the other day. Which is exactly what I was talking about. What's the average cost of a home where you live, tesla?

Are you suggesting you don't spend most of your time here tearing down America? I've yet to see you post anything positive about America. I've seen you bitch a lot. I just figured that was because you didn't have a decent upbringing.

Why would you suggest something so dishonest? Did I say that? No. Then why pretend I did? Save it for the alex jones forums.

You didn't watch the entire video, because Sanders references Greenspan insulting a Republican who he points at, who also agrees with the outsourcing situation. Another hole in your argument.

Gtech, I asked you a question. I never said you stated that, or believed that. I was just asking if thats what you thought.

No, I don't tear down America, I tear down the globalists who control America, and who are acting to destroy it.........guys just like Greenspan, who is called out in this video.

I'm always amazed when young people believe outsourcing is something new to their generation.

That was called a canard. You are familiar with that, correct? (notes to self, there is a question that is not a canard)

You sure do spend a lot of time tearing down America. In fact, as I recall, you claimed to want to move away from it, but can't find anything better! Must be nice to be raised with a silver spoon.

Raised with a silver spoon? ROFL, this is the funniest thing I've heard today. Gtech, I grew up very poor. There were days when as kids me and brother didn't have hardly any food to eat. My parents couldn't even afford to pay for $25 field trips, and I often watched my classmates go on trips, and I had to sit behind in a classroom. Does that sound like someone who was raised with a silver spoon? I remember during Christmas, I had to sit and watch other kids at my school talk about all the cool stuff their parents bought them, when I had nothing. Does this even sound like Middle Class?

If America goes down the path its headed, yes, I have thought about leaving, but where would I go? This country has the right system, the government just doesn't follow it, thats the problem. Also, they don't call it the New World Order for nothing. Every country in the world has to be made a part of the system, so running to a country may protect your for now, and maybe for the rest of your life, but if the globalists get what they want, it won't matter.

In the video, the only response Greenspan has is that the United States has the most advanced economy in the world, and we have the highest standard of living. Let me explain to you guys the biggest fallacy in his argument. He is basically talking about the past, what America HAS done. Notice very carefully in the video that he doesn't tell Sanders that he is wrong, and shows facts to prove that Sanders is wrong. No, Greenspan just says America is the strongest economy and has the most advanced technology.

What Greenspan DOESN"T say is that the country is in decline. Sanders recognizes this, and is explaining what is CURRENTLY happening, and what will happen in the coming years. Greenspan uses a factual argument that is based on past successes, and doesn't even attempt to explain why Sanders is wrong. Notice in the video how Sanders lays down the facts and statistics, while Greenspan doesn't. If they were being rated on their performance in this debate, Sanders wins hands down, because he presents numbers and facts to support his argument, while Greenspan simply makes statements without backing them up with facts.

I don't believe outsourcing is new, but like Sanders, I believe it has increased to the point where it is wiping out our manufacturing base, and thus our global competitiveness.

Great posts Tesla. Greenspan did so much to undermine the middle class, although it was his job, he was particularly a genius at it.

Outsourcing to Low Cost Countries, the lack of a manufacturing base, inflationary fiat money and now secrecy about M3 should be very disturbing to the people, as the government was never intended in this Republic to manage the money.

Greenspan himself admits in his book that we no longer have a free market, we have a regulated economy like the Soviets did.

Btw, I have extensive experience with outsourcing in manufacturing, and I can tell you that corporate America is driving manufacturing out of the country. Not just the labor, but the engineering, design and marketing. We're simply seen as consumers, not innovators or entrepreneurs anymore.

You just copy my ideas, not only are you a terrorist supporter you are also a copycat. :p

Heh! Have to be careful there, AGS. fletch or guerilla might come by and point out the personal attacks and seek the victim role. No, wait...probably not with you, huh?

The hypocrisy gang is always good for a chuckle or two!

tesla: point taken. An assumption on my part. I have a hard time understanding how someone like you can spend so much time bitching about everything. I presume a lot of it comes from the fact that alex jones does your thinking, but my goodness...some days you sound like you were actually in abu garib or something. Have you ever thought about being positive? Or does it just not come naturally? I used to be like you, in the sense of being a habitually pessimistic and bitching ceaselessly about everything. Not really about my country, but life in general.

It's long been said that the extreme left and the extreme right converge. This is a great case in point, here. A wonderful left-right moronic convergence.

Many of the things brought up in bernie's diatribe we've addressed here (CEO wages, outsourcing, etc) - and his speech doesn't really address anything but the usual litany of complaints which he attempts to blame on Greenspan (I suppose, this diatribe wasn't dated - by some of the numbers he mentioned it appeared to be around 1998 or so).

    Anyways.

Please show evidence of this extensive experience. Everything I've seen show we get more jobs as a result of outsourcing then we lose, and the jobs are higher paying than the ones that are lost as well.

Page? I hope you aren't going by news accounts or what another site tells you what is in the book.

And you talk about fallacy. Because the video doesn't show it; it doesnt imply the argument is correct. Dont get your reality from prison planet.

Sanders lays down stats without any sort of context or anything. It's a diatribe - typical of what socialists like to do. spout negatives without any cause or solution, just to whine.
