From Luke 24:44-46 44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: Question: Where "Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day" was written in the law of Moses?
Uh, he's saying that the law of Moses, prophecies, and psalms concerning God must become true. Then he goes on to say the section that Jesus will rise on the third day. Where does he imply Moses' law and Jesus's resurrection are entwined?
Guys, like I said in the other thread, and like I argue to Christians, you need to understand the views of the other side before you can debate them. There is a serious lack of understanding of the words of the Bible among a lot of non-Christians here.
44 he talk about law of moses, psalm 45 he makes them understand about the scriptures 46 and said, it is written those verses not related?
He says that all things from the law of Moses, the psalms, and the prophets must be fulfilled, and this helped them understand the scriptures, and then he said to them that it behoved Christ to suffer and rise again. Behove means "to be appropriate or necessary". So all things said about God in the scriptures and in the law of Moses must become true, so Jesus must suffer on the cross. It's not saying Jesus was made to suffer in the law of Moses, it's saying that is one of a few things that must become true in Christianity, and all these truths mean that Jesus must die upon the cross.
The best book to read is the King James Bible research on how it was put together.... We now live in a time where you can trust know one with the truth about god. I would rather learn from Jesus and the prophets. Then listen to one that claims to be a teacher of the truth. Here is a very good book to read also... called The Bible Code.
law of moses, prophets and psalms - i.e. an obvious expression for the whole of the old testament you could read it as "written about me in the old testament" and it would be a sensible translation of the point.
He isn't asking for understanding, he is attempting to try and show something contradicts. Probably something off of that lame hate site that others here have tried to use as their guide, they just don't realize how poorly the site was written.
