Haven't been able to log in to AdCenter for a few hours. Keeps telling me my user name is not recognized............
Well since it's still beta I am sure you can expect glitches in the authentication system. MS is pretty good at fixing the bugs in the bug reports at the final release IMO.
GFC ... Thats too bad! What did the User Interface look like when you did log in? Is this the Adsense or Adwords equivalent?
I've been using it since November and this has happened a few times. I called support today. After 15 minutes of verifying everything under the sun the rep told me the "technicians are aware of the issue and are upgrading something". I told her the same thing I told the last rep I spoke to when this happened - Adcenter needs to provide some level of advance notice when they are going to take the system offline or make it inaccessable. Send an e-mail or start a blog/news page where they can post the info. It's such a basic request I can't believe it's not in effect already. And yes, I understand it's a beta/pilot. What I'm asking for is not a technical issue with the interface or application, it's a communication issue that should not be effected at all by the status (beta) of the application. I, and I would guess just about everyone else, can't run a business on vague "try logging back in in an hour or so" responses. It's not a bad first effort but it needs some work. AdCenter is the Adwords equivalent.
id hate to be a big publisher with thousand dollar accounts and no way to stop pause them. Unless your getting good return id tell them to cancel my account. You'll get it back later when its live i guarantee!
$ isn't the concern - MSN can't meet my budgets right now anyway. I have campaigns in there with $5K/day limits and they've been topping out at $15/day since I started.
I could probably stir up more traffic that way than I can with AdCenter right now CTR is great, it's just the overall impression count that's low. MSN is only running their own ads 25% of the time right now (during the pilot) so there is hope...
