Up for sale is an established celebrity gossip blog with a loyal readership, consistent traffic, and good revenue. HotMommaGossip started out as a blogspot site July 2005 and switched to its own domain in March of 2006. In Nov 2006 I moved the site from blogspot to my own hosting, switched the site to run on Wordpress, and had a custom theme designed which you now see.

I would say that HotMommaGossip is positioned in the middle of the pack when it comes to celebrity blogs. If a new owner is willing to post more frequently, I have no doubt that they can compete with the top tier celebrity blogs. From talking to owners of bigger sites in this niche, it really just takes one story to catapult you to insane traffic levels

    Server Costs
Images are hosted on a Photobucket Pro account($25/yr) which the new owner will take control of. As a result of hosting the images offsite, the server costs are minimal. The site is currently hosted on a dedicated server with some of my other sites but you can use a vps or some other type of hosting. The site uses ~50MB of diskspace and goes through between 50GB and 80GB of bandwidth/mo.

    Misc Details
-Domain is registered at Namecheap through 3/29/08, free push to your account.
    -Technorati: Technorati details
-As a celebrity gossip blogger you get invited to functions (usually around LA) and get promo materials from promotion companies
-Buyer will receive a list of my celebrity gossip, paparazzi pics, and news sources
-Related Myspace account with ~900 friends (haven't used in a year)
    Revenue Details:

In July you will notice a significant increase in revenue from Glam. Our contract was renegotiated with more favorable terms for us. Although that was a particularly good month, I expect revenue from Glam to be roughly $1000/mo given our usual traffic numbers. August was a low traffic month (reason below) and we still pulled in that much.

I have discussed this sale with our Glam account manager and will help the new owner get setup if you're not already in their network. There are other networks out there for this niche like National Lampoon which I hear may pay better, although I've never looked into it.

From time to time I have been approached by various individuals/companies for direct ad placement. I have not included this revenue (and I don't take their offers usually) but it probably adds up to an additional $1000 - $2000/yr.
    Traffic Details:

I was on vacation in August and so posting was on the lighter side which the traffic stats reflect.

Otherwise, please review the Analytics attachment for traffic details. I do not have any formal link exchange agreements in place. You can see from my posts which sites I link to consistently. The celebrity blog niche is pretty friendly and people like to link each other (as long as you can send traffic). I have never paid for traffic to the site, no paid advertising campaigns whatsoever.

Would you be showing the new owner where and how you obtain the news and photos that you are posting? Do you have any other proof of income aside form the typed in excel screen shot?

    Thanks and good luck!

Yes, I will give the new owner all my news/pics sources.

I didn't really want to screenshot all 18 sources of revenue. If you'd like to place a bid and want to request something specific I'll be happy to provide the screenshot. The final buyer can have all the screenshots they like during the escrow period and access to my analytics account.
