64.233.179.99 and 64.233.179.104 are showing SERPs that are not post-Jagger. I'm seeing some positions that could be pre-Jagger or (hopefuly) something new. I do see at least 2 sites that were not in the top 20 pre-jagger and several sites that were not in the top 20 until around October. It looks like a new mix of sites. For me, I'm hoping it's a change that will propogate. My main site is back, and slightly better than pre-Jagger.
They are data centers Google is doing some algorithm tests on (among other things)... http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/the-little-301-that-could/
One of my sites is showing 750 pages at google right now, and at one of those test datacenters is has like 50,000
If 64.233.179.104 sticks then I'm out of the sandbox after 9 months.... along with another 30 million sites..... Cheers, Paz.
I am loving the results of 64.233.179.104. #1 ranking for a search term that has been bouncing from #7-#11 for a while now, and it is a term that I really need a high ranking on. Also showing to have a much better index of pages at the moment via that datacenter.
have been closely following those 2 dc via mc dar, some of my newly indexed pages were stuck there for almost 2 weeks, google showing messed up cages. What I am seeing is that those results with even slightly better serps (1-2 pos) began to spread over all the other dc within the last couple of hours
Yeah, in normal datacenters I have 12.000 pages indexed, in the new datacenter I have more than 48.000 (the most are duplicated URLs). Searching for my keywords, the most show now 3-10 times more results.
I love the 2 DC's as well. I am moving up for some heavy searched terms. I hope Google goes main stream with the test DC results.
These 2 DCs are now showing the same for site: searches in the UK as the other DCs - ie back yo 37 pages from 23600! So much for that! Dilip
yep I noticed a huge indexed page loss in the 2 test DC's but my rankings are higher then any other DC.
That's what I want to know? Have they gone to another DC? Otherwise what was the point of putting them in for our sites only to delete them again? What kind of indexing puts thousands of pages in twice and takes them out twice? Anybody seen large numbers moving on to other DCs from the tests? I did see the 23000 once yesterday on seologs.com indexed pages tool - which normally shows the 37....but of course it then went back to normal - as did the test DCs this pm! Rats, etc Dilip
I have pages removed from my site and they are still(again) in 64.233.179.104, its old data they use to test algos on ... don't get too excited
I like the results from the test datacenters. I have a new site that is only showing 600 indexed in the regular datacenter but is showing 14,300 indexed in the test datacenters. Google still hasnt indexed the whole site yet which should stand at around 250k pages but its a start. In December Google ate over 350MB of bandwidth from their googlebot. Do these results from the test DCs usually go to the regular DCs or what?
