$50,000 for 123sites.com

    Selling 123sites.com for $50,000.

    We are the original owners and purchased this domain on 01/18/1999.
    Never really did anything with it.

    If you are interested please PM me, so we can negotiate the details and most likely use an escrow firm.

    ------------------------------
    If that's not in your price range, but you are seriously interested, please PM me with your best offer.

    In the coming months, if we still have not developed a successful business on it, we will accept the best offer.

    Thank you,
    Christophe

    PS: looks like maybe 123sites.net might also be for sell.

    Is this not the right spot to get leads to sell a domain name ?:confused:
    Can you be a little more explicit ?

    I will most likely use a "domain name" escrow service for any financial transaction.

    Depends from which angle you look at it. From my chair, it look like it could a few more...:)

    Thanks,
    Christophe

    Yeah, it is the right place, but people here know the value of domains, and no one with more than 2 brain cells would expect to pay $50k for that domain

    well i can tell you one thing. it's not 50 000.

    123sites...what does it mean?

    based purely on the domain name alone

    advertising.com = 50 000

    news.com = 50 000

    dictionary.com = 50 000

    123sites? 0. riiiight.

    Thanks fryman for leveling with me.

    I do have someone interested in it (Obviously not you :p ), 50K is the offer I made him. I'm just repeating the offer here.
    If he or you do not like the price, so be it.
    At this point, I'm not really looking to sell it unless it's an interesting amount.

    Like I said:
    In the coming months, if we still have not developed a successful business on it, we will accept the best offer.

    123sites.com at this price is obviously, only interesting if you have a product or want a brand people will remember.
    123sites.com is easy to remember, no ?

    FYI:
    I'm not the only with this opinion, 123site.com is owned by one of (if not the) largest hosting and telecommunications company in the world NTT (with bought Verio which bought Highway....).
    Just by being similar and frankly better then 123site.com is a huge ROI potential...imo

    Cheers,
    Christophe

    Well... good luck, hope he bites, and if not, best thing would be to build a nice site around the domain and try to sell it once it is a bit more established.

    Thanks fryman.
    I've never used 123sites.com in 6 years...
    I can perfectly wait for another 12 years...

    Given your reaction, if the prospective buyer comes back with an offer a little lower, I might take it...

    I think you are a bit lost there yourself. News.com can be easily sold to a non-end user for way over 50,000$. The actual value in the domain is in the millions and can be sold at that price to the right people with a breeze.

    Do you have any idea what this is worth to the right people. You got every TV station with HUGE MONEY as a target and since FOX bought out MySpace it proves how they can spend heavy.

    dictionary.com can also be sold right away for over 50k and again probably a million dollar domain if not able to sell now at this price you sure will in a year or two.

    A brand people will remember? 123sites??? How is it worth anything?

    I guarantee that nobody will ever pay you $50k for this domain. I wouldnt pay $50 for it. I bet you got one of those online apraisals that just spits out a random value, didnt you?

    As far as i know, such domains are worth $50 - low $xxx
    because it is regd since 1999, it might get you mid $xxx if you hunt the correct buyer. Else, do not expect more than $20 bis here.
    Good luck.

    Since when was a domain name like that for 50 grand? That's a years income for a middle-class. I doubt anyone will pay that. I once saw pig.com going for $50,000 on eBay, but that might be worth it.

    I think instead of ebay, the better question is... are you looking for this?
