I noticed that as well. Not 5 results out of 10 are yahoo answers but for many queries their pages rank well.

Interesting. Do people still use Yahoo Answers to drive traffic to their relevant website(s)?

When google find out yahoo is making money with Yahoo Answers they will take them all out of the search.

We just need to wait for some time - That's all

or email google how much money Yahoo is making out of that service..

-- For now I do not see ads next to Yahoo Answers -- not sure why?

    I have noticed this.

Doesn't it tell you something though? Think about it - take a step back.

User Generated Content, useful content = the type of content that Google wants people to find in it's search engine.

Now that Yahoo answers rank high and get decent traffic from Google, they should try to monetize that traffic with Adsense, it will surely bring them more $$ than YPN :D

it's kinda a shame because I know many people from this board alone are exploiting yahoo answers with spam.

I was into Yahoo answers for a couple months and actually had 75% best answers out of 60 or so. But I got tired of it really quickly when I saw plenty of answers that were ridiculously wrong, but were voted as best answers, likely by their friends.

It is full of junk and spam, and nowhere near the usefulness of Wiki. Google made a mistake.
