Pay Per Install - ZangoCash?

Discussion in 'Affiliate Programs' started by toolblast, Dec 24, 2005.

Anyone use ZangoCash? I used to use LoudCash but they changed their name.

ZangoCash is an installer where you put the activex on ur site and get 20-50 cents per install.

It is quite annoying for visitors tho because it installs spyware and adware lol.

Zango is a parasite...Fryman, as I'm sure you know Zango is run by 180 solutions. These guys are as filthy as it gets. There's a lot of stuff on both Zango and 180 solutions on: http://www.benedelman.org. Also, loads of threads on ABW. Here's one of interest: http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=49539, and another: http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=64803.

For all those who don't know about parasites, and how they're stealing YOUR commissions, check out this forum on ABW: http://forum.abestweb.com/forumdisplay.php?f=161.

Anyone promoting this sort of rubbish...Shame on you!

Didn't they use to be loudcash? and something before that...

I use to use the "something before loudcash" and made 40 bucks with only 40-100 visitors per day...and that ran for about 1 month...so they pay was really high.

    But I stopped...that adware stuff isn't cool

Go read their privacy policy. I have installed and uninstalled Zango dozens of times while testing it with no problems at all.

    Oh-Oh - can't believe I missed this thread before. Here's my rant!

Do you realize that some of the ActiveX, free download, free screen saver & Toolbar programs you may be promoting are helping to spread parasites that STEAL everyone's affiliate commissions???

Have you looked at what you may be spreading around inside some of these apps? Some of them are filled with parasites and you may be helping to spread them! You may make some money selling these apps, but then you are also losing money when they steal your commissions from other programs.

Programs like this HURT the entire industry. Not only do they spread parasites, they muck up consumers computers with crap and programs like this increase the number of ad blockers, firewalls, anti spyware and anti adware programs - MANY OF WHICH EAT OR BLOCK AFFILIATE COOKIES SO THAT NO ONE MAKES MONEY!!!

I have seen affiliates talking about some of these programs on other affilate forums and the # of new programs and also discussions about these new programs is growing at an alarming rate! IMHO.

Please don't call yourself an affiliate and then spread a scourge that hurts everyone in the industry!

bla bla bla bla bla bla......

Have you even tried installing the Zangocash toolbar, or do you just like to post without knowing what you are talking about?

I have installed it several times. Got one or 2 popups so I almost forgot I had it. Then it took me 2 clicks to uninstall.

Don't talk about things you don't have any actual experience with.

yes it is lame.. totally.. but it's on a site i really could care less about, ever.. all they do is suck up my bandwidth for the quick info... maybe a couple will drop 40 cents in the charity bucket on the way out from zangocash.. it's all good, they still create registered accounts all day lomg so it must not be that annoying to them... o well.. i guess this makes me some kinda criminal? or "black hatted"... i think i can live with that..

"blah blah blah back" Fryman. We always have this same discussion - with you defending apps like this just cuz you make a little money.

I don't need to try it. PUBLIC PERCEPTION is the key. Check out what others are saying.

    http://www.google.com/search?source...rls=GGGL,GGGL:2005-09,GGGL:en&q=Zango+spyware

If Joe surfer can't unstall it, if people complain about pops ups, if spyware forums and anti-spyware companies call it spyware or parasiteware then its a PROBLEM to help distribute it and it's WRONG - period.

So I stand by what I said:

I agree and support what Linda says 110%...Fryman you are totally wrong to say the ZangoCash is not Spyware, and to protect this bunch of con-artists just because they're your friends is wrong on many levels...

If 180Solutions are so 'clean' Fryman explain this article...I'll dig up more when i have time:

"A class action complaint against adware company 180solutions was filed today in an Illinois United States District Court by attorneys Shawn M. Collins and David J. Fish of The Collins Law Firm. The complaint on behalf of residents of the United States and the state of Illinois charges that 180solutions downloaded spyware on computers illegally causing a number of damages. 180solutions' alleged illegal practices include deceptively distributing spyware files and preventing users from removing them, engaging in deceptive misconduct to download its spyware without users' knowledge or consent, lying to consumers about its spyware, etc.

Counts include computer fraud and abuse, violating Electronic Communications Privacy Act/Wiretap Act (United States), Trespass to Personal Property/Chattels, Consumer Fraud Act, Negligence, Computer Tampering and Invasion of Privacy, (Illinois). Numerous examples are given for each. On page 11, it states "Finally, the public health and safety is also threatened by 180solutions' spyware because it was distributed at an Internet site (and thus financially supported an Internet site) showing child pornography." At the bottom of page 14, it states "180solutions intended to profit, and did actually profit from its wrongful conduct by being able to obtain more adverting money by virtue of being downloaded onto more computers" and 180solutions knew that its conduct was deceptive and misleading […]"
