$100/month for a blog, sounds like a lot of garbage to me when he doesnt even mention what site the blog will be on!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say...hype, $97 BS. The guy claims to have a crazy PR supersite, spends half the sales pitch showing spider stats, won't reveal the page (but you find out out when you pay $97) where he wants you to set up a blog and provide this site with free content.
I guess he's claiming that this blog will be your personal own little PR machine...since that's the problem with having your blog at wordpress.com or blogger...no PR on the homepage. Right....

Sounds like one of those one-page scamming sites. I hate reading on them long pages so i can't tell much what the site is really about.

Sounds like a scam to me, I wouldn't suggest forking out money into an unproven site.

I don't think it's a scam, but whether it's worth the price or not is another question. I believe the main page of the site where your blog will be hosted is a PR6. Not sure why someone would pay $97 a month for that.

And the site that he took to PR7 in a few months, I believe is this one which yahoo says has 208,750 backlinks. So the site where he is selling blogs on probably only plays a very small part of it. What I mean to say is that purchasing his service will not likely get you a PR7 site, not even close.

A scam no, questionable marketing perhaps...

The advertiser must be a member here. I am sure. Maybe he can come and explain. Or people are clicking it and wasting his cash.

I wont say Scam because I dont know what it is. What turned me off was the "URL HIDING"

Who will pay without knowing the url? And when I see url is hidden, I sense there is something fishy!

    Hi Guys,

This is Duncan Carver here. Yes, I am a member here and http://www.betterthanbacklinks.com is our latest service. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I will address a few questions already presented here.

~ Why does http://www.betterthanbacklinks.com show no PR value?

The answer to that one is simple. This site is simply a sales vehicle to sell the service (on a different website) and was created before the latest PR update. As a result it currently shows no PR. It is gray because it has also missed the latest update which is about to happen shortly (otherwise it would be white). You can check the domain registration details to verify this. You can also use the "site:" command in Google to see the site is not banned whatsoever. There is no reason why it should be. Everything we are doing is completely above board and white hat. And again, the actual Authority site is an entirely different domain that has been online for nearly 3 years now.

~ Why do I not reveal the actual website "Authority Site X"?

This is for the privilege of paid members only and ensures that the sales process and site itself remains separate. It's also a sales tactic which helps increase conversion ratios of visitors to customers. I have nothing to hide in the fact we are selling here. If you disagree with this tactic then that's fine but it is working well for us at this point.

~ Will I reveal it here?

No. For the above reason. If anyone is not happy with the site itself after becoming a member they are more than welcome to request an immediate refund. No one has done this to date (we have just under 200 members currently) as the site is extremely powerful.

~ "I wouldn't suggest forking out money into an unproven site."

The site is far from unproven. You can check the testimonials page for results existing members have seen to date. I can assure you those are all very real results.

~ "Not sure why someone would pay $97 a month for that."

People are prepared to pay what they are prepared to pay, and this is the price we value the service at which we feel is entirely reasonable. As do the current members, many of which have been with us since we started just over 3 months ago. We currently invest $20,000 p/m in text link campaigns for the "Authority Site" which now has well over 1 million incoming links. This is in addition to what the website had prior to converting it over to the http://www.betterthanbacklinks.com service and other marketing techniques we use. It is an extremely powerful website.

Again if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

    Best...

    Duncan Carver

Just had a look at the first testimonial, someone going from pr0 to a predicted pr4. I would think it would be far better and and a safer way to get PR by simply spending the $100 a month on decent links. Anyway good luck with the business, if it works for people and they are happy with it then excellent, I just wouldnt think advertising on this forum will bring you in much business as anyone reading here will surely be able to achieve the same result cheaper.
