So a buddy of mine a few weeks ago had an interview with Google. He sent me a list of some of the questions he was asked, and then I compiled more from others I have known who had interviews with the company. In total I have 17 questions: http://www.talkgold.com/money_blog/?p=22 Some are pretty intense. My buddy found out last week that he got the job :0
Sorry don't want to go into detail about the job, incase he wasn't supposed to give me these questions. Don't want to get him fired before his first day on the job
Pretty tough and I don't think every person that applies at Google is slapped back with these questions.
Lol, my first thought to the answer to #7 was: Google it. Wonder if they would've accepted that answer?
I know Microsoft has been asking similar questions to applicants for a long time. One was "how many practicing dentists are there in Chicago?" and another was "how many manhole covers are in New York City?"
I guess the question was how many manhole covers are there in the USA. Most of them are mathematical in nature.
Google would be so cool to work for cuz everyone seems pretty laid back..but it also seems pretty hard to get in..those questions could give a lot of ppl problems cuz you wouldnt know how to answer.
I looked at it and thought if someone walked in thinking they were getting a serious interview, would they walk out when handed that?
He said he didnt think he got all correct but also felt that he thinks they were looking for the way he answered the questions rather then the answer itself.
